Thoughts on President Ford

As someone who lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan you can't help but hear that Gerald Ford died today. I was four months old when he was inaugurated so I don't recall much of his presidency. What I know of him is what my parents have said and a trip to his presidential library when I was a kid. In reading about him today, I came across the following quote:

"A government big enough to give us everything we want is a government big enough to take from us everything we have."

This was a president who got it. A man who understood the government our founding fathers wanted for posterity.

Its too bad he lost in 1976. That would have spared us Jimmy Carter.
